Eucerin Tinted Sensitive Mineral SPF 35 Face Sunscreen Lotion is a lightweight sunscreen with a sheer finish that blends seamlessly into all skin tones. This tinted face sunscreen provides Broad Spectrum SPF 35 UVA/UVB sun protection based on a mineral filter (100% Naturally Sourced Zinc Oxide*), plus a unique Antioxidant Complex, 5 Antioxidants Shield, that defends the skin against environmental aggressors that weaken the skin’s moisture barrier for healthier looking skin. Unlike traditional mineral sunscreens, this Eucerin sunscreen lotion dries clear, leaving a matte finish and no visible residue. This lightweight sunscreen provides a gentle formula that does not irritate sensitive or delicate facial skin. Plus, it is non-comedogenic, so it does not clog pores and is suitable for daily use under makeup. Eucerin is a skincare brand developed with dermatologists that is based on an uncompromising approach to science. *based on zinc oxide active

Clinical Formula

Vitamin C

Vitamin C (also known as ascorbic acid and L-ascorbic acid although these are actually different forms of the vitamin) is an essential nutrient to our overall health and the health of our skin.

Vitamin C is key to collagen synthesis in skin cells. As one of skin’s natural filler substances, collagen gives young skin its firm structure and even appearance but degrades over time. Much of this degradation is caused by free radicals which damage the cells that produce collagen. Vitamin C is also a powerful anti-oxidant and helps to protect skin from free radical damage.

The human body cannot produce Vitamin C itself and so relies on external sources, the most common of which are dietary sources such as citrus fruits. Vitamin C is also an effective ingredient in skincare where it strengthens and ultimately protects the epidermis, keeping skin looking radiant and fresh. One of its forms, L-ascorbic acid, is more active and more widely researched and proven as a skincare ingredient than others. Eucerin uses L-ascorbic acid in Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler Vitamin C Booster. Another form of Vitamin C, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, is more suitable for a lip care product and is used in Eucerin Aquaphor SOS Lip Repair.

Licochalcone A

Licochalcone A is an ingredient derived from the roots of the Chinese licorice plant. This plant uses Licochalcone A to protect its cells against UV-radiation by protecting against sun-induced damage caused by free radicals.

Glycyrrhetinic Acid

Glycyrrhetinic Acid is derived from the roots of the Chinese Licorice plant − Glycyrrhiza Glabra − and is known for its antioxidant and skin-soothing properties. It helps to protect the skin cells in the deeper epidermal layers from harmful UV-induced free radicals and supports skin´s own DNA repair mechanism.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is a vitamin and an antioxidant. Being a vitamin it has to be supplemented to the body by nutrition. It is necessary for a range of biological processes within the body, in this case helping to keep the skin healthy. As an antioxidant, Vitamin E can reduce oxidative stress by neutralising reactive free radicals.
